For being waxed cap I was expecting a much heavier/thicker canvas but the weatherproof properties are no joke; the hat keeps significant rain off and your head protected! The hat is delightfully confortable in head and the size is perfect as usual (this is my third hat from Sterkowski). Being waxed this hat is also surprisingly breathable! I would love to see more colors in the future like deep green!

I received my Shelby waxed cotton newsboy hat today. I ordered size 58 to fit my head size. Not all hat makers offer this size, so I was pleased that Sterkowski has more specific sizing. My hat fits perfectly with just the right amount of ease. The look of the Shelby is tailored and less exaggerated than a wider newsboy. The fabrication is lightweight and attractive. The quality of workmanship is par excellence…..I should know, as I have sewn for some 48 years now. This hat has a tasteful and conservative touch of elegance that anyone can choose as one of their favorite hats.

I Recently brought the waxed cotton version of the shelby ( in black) for a work hat to obviously keep my head dry ?, I already own 2 Harris tweed shelbys and a wool shelby, if I'm not at work I'm wearing one of them as absolutely love these caps, and will definitely be ordering more colours, perfect fit and finish and so cool looking, I get so many compliments,, also the dry wax feels like normal cotton not wet and greasy like traditional waxed cotton, my only negative in only my opinion is I wish there was more colours in the waxed version as black seems to hid all the cool ridges and details unless you are in bright light etc, they do a blue version but my company uniform is green so blue wouldn't work etc, other than that, 100%recommend, sterkowski, please do a light grey and a dark grey version, even a mid/ dark green version, Or just thought, how about an option with the cotton shelbys that you can have it waxed... For additional cost,, excellent company, excellent products, excellent customer service, 5 stars all day long

The hat looks great, the material is breathable, yet still effective in the rain. I’m still getting used to the Sterkowski fit in certain hats. It doesn’t hug my head like I’m used to, but I think I’m just getting used to a fit whereas I forget I actually have a hat on—which is really a good thing.

Like the other hats from Sterkowski, this is well made, fits well, comfortable, and pleasant to look at. The wax isn't noticeable as I've seen on waxed barn coats, but the waxed hat repelled water when I wore it recently during rain.

Very quick shipping from Poland! Cap was very well pack and did not need steaming to shape. Sizing was spot on. My go to foul weather cap. Wish I could submit pictures Bill

Fits perfect and Looks Great

This is my second Sterkowski hat. My first was a Harris Tweed Peaky style and now this hat. I’ve been very satisfied with both hats. I would recommend them to anyone. Very well made I’m sure a third will soon be in my future.
