A classic, timeless summer Ivy League style flat cap. Model sewn with linen cloth. This ivy cap is very lightweight, it offers an excellent wearing comfort and good breathability.

It has a mesh lining inside to reduce moisture and increase air circulation. The crown of the cap is sewn down to the visor. Its sweatband is made of cotton. Good old world craftsmanship from Poland.

The hat looks sharp and is even cooler than the ultra thing herring bone one on the site. The inner mesh is almost too baggy. I found the mesh kind of snuck out of the back of the hat once. Other than that, an excellent hat. It'll get a ton of summer wear.

Just what I was looking for!

I love the general look of flat caps but I wanted something that is also appropriate for the summer. I was excited to find that Sterkowski makes flat caps with linen! I ordered the Derby variant over the others for its mesh liner and rear vent. In hand I found the cap to be very lightweight and comfortable. I have a head circumference of about 61-62 cm and the 62 cm fit perfectly. Just snug enough to keep in place with slight bit of room leftover. I'm looking forward to trying Sterkowski's wool flat caps for the winter season.

Excellent for hot weather

Since I am bald, I wanted to protect my head from sun while biking to work in the summer. Also, I wished for a headwear that I could reasonably wear with a blazer and that was not a generic baseball cap. I am completely satisfied with my choice - this Derby cap is highly breathable and even has a ventilation slit on the back. I purchased the beige version (in linen), which goes surprisingly well both with business casual outfits as well as simply casual outfits (I mean cargo pants and such). I measured my head according to Sterkowski instructions and ordered the measured size - the cap fits me well and in the few months that I own it I have not felt that it was at risk of being blown away by the wind, even ride my bicycle hard against the wind. So to me it seems that the cap is true to size and I don't know why some other reviewers say that it was too large for them. Excellent cap, excellent quality and I am happy to support Polish family business. Greetings from Latvia!
