A Style That Found Its Home in Poland

The Maciejówka is one of those styles of headwear whose history gradually became part of Polish culture. The style itself arrived in Poland from the West, but quickly found a place of its own here. Its simple construction, small visor, and distinctive band made it a practical cap.

Over time, the Maciejówka began to appear in different communities and in many variations. The proportions of the crown, materials, and finishing details changed, but the basic silhouette remained largely the same.

From History to Everyday Life

The Maciejówka has come a long way, but it does not have to be treated as a historical costume. Its strength has always been its simplicity.

The compact crown and small visor allow Model 2 to retain the character of the traditional style while fitting easily into a contemporary wardrobe. It can be worn with a classic coat, a wool jacket, or a more casual outfit.

The decorative band and oxidized buttons remain a subtle reference to traditional Maciejówka caps. They do not, however, dominate the overall design. This is a form free from unnecessary additions, where the proportions, material, and craftsmanship remain the most important elements.

Natural Wool

We made the Maciejówka from natural wool, a material that has been used for generations in the production of headwear. Its properties are perfectly suited to the character of this classic style, while providing comfort, durability, and suitable protection from the cold.

Wool has natural thermoregulating properties. It helps maintain thermal comfort while allowing the skin to breathe and managing moisture effectively. This makes the Maciejówka particularly well suited to colder autumn and winter days.

One Hundred Years of Passion and Craftsmanship

In 1926, Anna Sterkowska opened her workshop in Warsaw. She could not have known that four generations later, her great-grandchildren would be making caps for people all over the world.

She knew one thing: a good cap requires excellent materials and craftsmanship.

For one hundred years, nothing has changed in this philosophy. Every cap that leaves our workshop is the result of knowledge passed down from generation to generation. We are proud to continue creating new caps and hats for you every day.
