A Cap for People of the Sea

The name Trawler leads straight to the deck of a ship. Trawlers were vessels built for work at sea, and the lives of their crews revolved around the weather, fishing, and long hours on watch. In such an environment, clothing was not meant to be decorative. Every element had to serve a practical purpose above all else.

Its form is close to the classic Maciejówka and caps known as Breton caps, but its nautical character remains one of its most recognizable features.

From the Deck to the Streets

Like many other elements of workwear, over time the Trawler moved beyond the environment from which it originated. Caps associated with sailors, fishermen, and dockworkers began to appear in everyday wardrobes.

What had once been shaped primarily by practical needs began to define the character of the style. The short visor, small crown, and pronounced band created a silhouette that remained recognizable even far from the harbor quays.

Today, the Trawler does not require a nautical outfit. Its simple form allows it to be worn with both classic clothing and more casual outfits.

Brushed Cotton

We made the Trawler from 100% natural cotton. The fabric has been brushed and emerized, giving its surface a soft and pleasant feel.

Cotton is breathable and works well on warmer days. We also left out the lining in this model, keeping the construction lightweight and allowing air to circulate more freely.

One Hundred Years of Passion and Craftsmanship

In 1926, Anna Sterkowska opened her workshop in Warsaw. She could not have known that four generations later, her great-grandchildren would be making caps for people all over the world.

She knew one thing: a good cap requires excellent materials and craftsmanship.

For one hundred years, nothing has changed in this philosophy. Every cap that leaves our workshop is the result of knowledge passed down from generation to generation. We are proud to continue bringing you new caps and hats every day.
