Amazingly design work on this hat. Detailed past simplicity, without being tacky. But they send 1 size too big, seemingly, which is almost a waste of money. My entire long in-depth review got deleted. I can see that Sterkowski doesn't post or sort reviews by their recency either. I think they cherry pick what they want on their site. I'll write it again if this somehow gets posted.

I was writing a review per suggestion on the label of my hat, in addition to wishing I could apprentice with Sterkowski Hats. The closest I can get to that is offering my feelings. I bought a Sterkowksi hat because I got to feel one, here in the USA, from someone else. I inuitively felt and saw that there wasn't any part of the hat's construction or material that I needed to worry about-- no point I shouldn't pull too much on, or a place I should never hold it from. I paid for shipping from Poland with the last of my savings, knowing that I could not afford to make any kind of return and pay more shipping. My own hat feels the same way as the other's. Its wool color is just as I imagined it from the picture, and it's a beautiful tool. But it feels too large on first impression. Mind you, this is the first time in a while that I've worn any hat that wasn't made to be tighter fitting-- beanies and simple bucket hats. So I can't vouch for how a banded hat like this should rest on my head. I can only go based on pictures and videos provided by Sterkowski in their marketing, as I didn't get a reply from their customer service team regarding the fit. I got a suggestion of using foam glued into the hat, but I didn't want to deter from the look of the piece, nor attach an object I would have to worry about. I had read that, even when you do your best to follow the fitting guide and measure yourself, the size is about a centimeter bigger. I had assumed that these were customers who just didn't size themselves correctly, and did my best to do better than them, in some way. Alas, I found myself feeling that my hat might be large, for the long-term of my entire life. It falls forward when I move my head, and it is in danger of falling off when stooping down to pick up or work on something. I'm currently planning on seeing if it shrinks from natural heat and moisture, as Sterkowski has replied saying that it could shrink at some point in the future. I can only hope that people's reviews that the hats are a centimeter-or-so larger is a calculated move from Sterkowski's direction. I had worried that my initial measurement leaning of 62cm would be too large, so I chose 61cm to be safe. I'm enjoying my hat, but a part of me, within the first month of owning it, still has regret as to what I could have done wrong when choosing my size, from across the sea. Fue la primera gorra Sterkowski que quise tener pero el precio me llevó a comprar otras. Me arrepiento de no haberla adquirido antes. Es la más bella de todas. Ojalá que algún día la fabriquen de algodón o de lino pues el calentamiento global se ha acentuado en mi ciudad.
