Flat caps are probably the most popular type of headwear for men. They are worn by men of all ages in virtually every type of weather. In simplest terms, it is a men's baseball cap with a round bottom that can be flat or slightly raised. Depending on the season it is designed for, it can be made from lightweight cotton, warm tweed or wool to protect against the autumn chill. If it is additionally padded and completed with ear flaps, it can even be worn in winter. Our offer includes models in many colours. A brief history of flat caps

Few types of contemporary headwear have such a long history as flat caps. Their precursors were worn in England as early as the 14th century and were considered compulsory headwear for lower-class men. An Act of Parliament in Northern England required them to wear woollen hats on all Sundays and holidays. This applied to all males over the age of six, and evasion of the obligation was punishable by a fine. It soon became apparent that the men's flat caps are very comfortable and, despite the fact that they were initially associated mainly with the proletariat, they soon started to be worn by men of all social classes. With time, they started to be appreciated by the elite and were eagerly worn during sporting events and hunting trips. Artists also fell in love with them, which led to the caps being worn by just about everyone. Nowadays, women who like to experiment with fashion also reach for these classic models.

In our studio, we produce hats in many colours, and styles and using various materials. Not everyone is aware of the fact that classic flat caps can vary in shape. For example, we offer a model with a duck's beak-shaped peak and a crown that consists of six quarters. You can also opt for the Shelby model, which is a baseball cap sewn from eight quarters and topped with a button. Interestingly, this model is usually sewn using waterproof waxed cotton. Moreover, our offer includes a Peaky Blinders type model, which differs from the previously described ones by the width of the crown, which gives it a slightly cheeky character. Winter hats are made from wool fleece, thick tweed or natural leather. Warmer weather versions use fine wool, and light and airy linen that does not provide insulation but protects perfectly from the sun. Some men refrain from wearing flat caps because they are not quite sure how to wear them properly. It's worth warming up to this kind of cut, as it's really versatile and can be worn all year round.
